I tried it a couple more times restarting pc inbetween got it to 4450mhz steady all 6 cores and got my highest of 4169 but only 523 single core.Īt this point Im not sure what could be the issue? is it possible asus x570 prime pro bios is just crap since it just came out and needs better updates? or Do I need that extra 4 pins on the cpu? What else can I do. I tried their auto OC once or twice and turned it back off since it didn't seem to do much. sometimes Im getting a pretty steady 4450 mhz and sometimes around 4250 mhz all 6 cores. Cinebench R15 Cinebench sees a similar set of results to Blender with the two CPUs we're looking at today bettered by pretty much all the hyperthreaded models, although the outstanding single core performance continues to demonstrate how well Intel nail this particular element.

Hmm so I look some more and find out about ryzen master, download it and watch my MHZ while cinebench is running. Reran it got 3864 and 524, ok this is much better yew but still not nearly as good as the benchmarks online and my friend with the same cpu and slower ram (3200mhz) than me (3600mhz) got 4480 and 585 or so. Went to bios and enabled PBO, which was set to auto, I set it to enabled. I cant imaging needing that but what do I know. (Optionally, you can right-click it and click Show Graph.) Leave HWiNFO open and click Reset (the clock icon) just before you run the benchmark in Cinebench to monitor the temperature throughout the test. Do I really need it or not? 5600x is only 65w tdp. In the main screen, scroll down to the CPU section, find CPU CCD 1 (Tdie) and left-click it to highlight it. So I asked the pchelphub on discord which I found thru a reddit pc page and a couple guys on there said the same thing that I dont need that extra 4 pin. Im under the impression you only need the extra 4 pin if ur doing some crazy overclocking. So I looked into some things.įirst off when I installed the new x570 mobo it has an 8+4 pin cpu header in the top left corner. I then open cinebench, run multicore and single core got 3362 and 444 respectively. I then open up OCCT its a stress tester I run 3 or 4 of their tests with no issues and all temps are great I think the cpu maxed at like 70 degrees with my deepcool gammax gt cpu cooler. I downloaded cpu-z to check that my speeds were set correctly. I shut it down went back into bios made sure the version number was correct then I turned on DOCP ram profile to put ram speeds up to 3600mhz. Walla the pc booted right up I was stoked to see it all working since that was my first time flashing bios. I updated the motherboard to latest bios from there website ( Version 2812 ). Im running gskill ripjaw 3600mhz cl16 2x8gb ram + 5700xt red devil + 650w 80+ gold. Hello all I just upgraded my pc from a b450+ 3600 to an asus prime x570- pro + ryzen 5 5600x (all parts are basically brand new this is my first revision since i just built this like 3 months ago).
